About: The Beginner's Bible from Zonderkidz is a great way to introduce children to Bible stories. This is actually a revised version of this text. I was lucky enough to get to review it and now the updated version as well. This new version has better art work. The Bible has over 90 stories in it. The stories are all typed in large easy to read print. The new vibrant three dimensional art work just adds that special touch to keep the kids interested. There are also some great resources that come with the Bible stories.

These are wonderful and help encourage the love of learning more stories. With the intended age range starting at 4 there are coloring pages and games they could play after you read aloud to them. for the younger independent readers there are fun games, videos, and puzzles to go along with the stories.

We truly enjoyed this book. My kids in this age range are not independent readers so we read the stories aloud to them. The large print made it much easier for these eyes to read while holding the book far away from me to fit all the little eyes that wanted to see. The amazing new 3D art was truly a hit for everyone. my little 3yo was all about the cool pictures. He especially liked Jonah being eaten by the whale.

The boom contains 512 glossy pages. The earlier version had matte paper which tears easier with rough fingers. the glossy pages seem easier to turn and just make the whole thing pop out more. There is a dedication page to put your child's name in it. Next there is a Table of Contents so you are able to quickly find stories if you didn't want to read through from front to back. I also enjoyed finding the dictionary in the back that contained some of the words that kids may not know what meant. They also made good for some spelling words for the older kids so they could be evolved with the lessons as well.

I would read each story to everyone. the book follows just like an full Bible with the Old Testament with Genesis on to the New Testament. After I would read we would look in the dictionary for any words we may have come across that we did not know. We would then use that time to talk about the story we read and how we felt about it. I can't blame my kids having a love for the story of  Jonah and the whale, it was always my favorite as well. We talked about how it would feel to be alone in the whale not knowing what would happen and how we would survive. We talked about how sometimes we get in situations in our life that we think there is no hope but we have to remember to call on God. I just absolutely love that these stories make it much easier for the little kids to understand the stories and we can go over hem as a whole family and not leave the little ones in the dark about trying to explain them.

I think this is a great Bible story book for anyone with younger kids or even hose that struggle with reading or have delays in reading comprehension.  It really is a wonderful book and ypu and your child will love it.
