About: Koru Naturals opened their store in 2002 to offer products from New Zealand. They felt that they could get better products from there than they could in the USA.  They also do not test their products on animals. So when they gave me the oppritunity to sample their Emu Oil and New Zealand Pure and Simple Lanolin Cream I was very excited.

Emu Oil is 100% grade A emu oil with no additives or preservatives. You can use this on your hair or your skin. A little goes a long way and it is suggested that you put a few drops in your hand then apply to the area you want. You can also use as a leave in conditioner or as a treatment for dry or damaged hair.

Koru Naturals ReviewNew Zealand Pure and Simple Lanolin Cream is a pure lanolin cream for use on your face and body. It helps to revitalize your skin as well as a diaper rash protector for babies bottoms.

How I used: I have hypothyroid, if you know anything about it  than you know that it causes hair to become very dry and brittle. I am also a licensed hair stylist and have tried just about every professional product out there to help this issue. I have not tried Emu Oil though, so this was a new adventure for me. During my time with the Emu Oil I stopped using any products besides my normal shampoo and conditioner routine. I used this as a treatment to my hair by placing about 6 or 7 drops in my hands and working into my wet hair. I used just a tad more than was called for on their site because my hair is below my bottom, much longer than most peoples hair. Then I placed a shower cap on and left for about 30 minutes. I also put a warm towel on top since in my line of work I have learned the warmth helps the oil penetrate the hair.  I ended up doing this twice a week during the review period and I will tell you I can really tell a difference. I do still have some damage but my hair is a lot easier to maintain on a wash and go time. It knots up far less because it is softer and silky. I also decided to try it on my sons eczema patch on his chest and it only took 3 days of applying twice a day for it to go away. That is much quicker than most products I have used for it.

The Lanolin Cream I LOVED! We cloth diaper so there are very few products that you can use for diaper rash without ruining your diapers. I use a regular lanolin for lots of things but its more of a Vaseline base so I don't like to use it a lot as it gets on things. So it was nice to try a cream base. I was able to use it on my baby and his diaper area with no effect on my diapers. I also used it as a lotion to help dry skin areas on my hands from the cold air as well as on him after a bath. It has a nice fresh smell to it and kept him feeling baby soft.

Over all thoughts: I think these products were amazing and I will be continuing to use them as well as trying out some of the other products. My next purchase will be the Manuka Oil and Honey Shampoo and Conditioner since I loved the way the pure emu oil made my hair feel. I think that the addition of using these will just make it even better. They also have Koolpurrie Restoring Balm and Pure Lanolin Lip Balms which look really neat to try as well. I think most anyone that likes more natural types of cosmetics will want to try theses. I also think people that have troubles with skin and hair and have failed with other products will also want to test these out. I am guessing that if you do then you will have the same great results as I do.
